Kohtao Hillside resort is a resort in Sairee Beach on Koh Tao, with sea-view rooms and an outdoor swimming pool. Its accommodation ranges from a 12 m² bungalow to a 42 m² villa, alongside the 28 m² Deluxe Double Room and a further sea-view double room. Each room type accommodates up to two people. The Deluxe Double Room and bungalow each have an extra-large double bed. The villa has an extra-large double bed and a sofa bed, and its separate living room distinguishes it from the other layouts. The Double Room with Sea View is another two-person option with an extra-large double bed. Across the range, sea views are paired with three different room formats, from the compact 12 m² bungalow to the 42 m² villa.

The resort's outdoor swimming pool has views, with a sun terrace, sun loungers or beach chairs, and sun umbrellas among the leisure facilities. The restaurant serves Thai cuisine for lunch and dinner, and a buffet breakfast is available. Free WiFi is available in the rooms, and air conditioning is among the general facilities. Snorkelling and diving feature among the activities, while the beach is also part of the facilities.

A shuttle service and daily housekeeping are available. Luggage storage, lockers, express check-in and check-out, and laundry are provided. Non-smoking rooms are offered alongside a designated smoking area. The resort has no parking, and does not provide an on-site parking facility.

The resort is in Sairee Beach on Koh Tao’s west coast, where the island’s main beach strip runs beside a 1.8 km stretch of white sand. Dive schools, restaurants and beach bars line Sairee, and the beach is 650 m from the resort; Top Point is 850 m away. The resort is 2.7 km from Mae Haad, the island’s pier town and main service centre. Sairee has sunset views towards Koh Nang Yuan, with a livelier nightlife stretch at its southern end and a quieter, more upmarket northern end.

Koh Tao has no airport, so you arrive by ferry at Mae Haad pier. Services connect the island with Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Chumphon and Surat Thani; Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier is 2.7 km from the resort. Island pick-up truck taxis cover the trip inland, and Kohtao Hillside resort also has a shuttle service. There is no parking at the resort. Mae Haad and Sairee are linked by a flat brick path along the shore, a walk of about 15 minutes between the two areas, though the resort itself is further from the pier.

Swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving are the main ways to spend time around Sairee. The island has more than 25 dive sites, including Chumphon Pinnacle, Southwest Pinnacle, Japanese Gardens and the HTMS Sattakut wreck. Nangyuan Island is 1.7 km away, with long-tail boats from Sairee or Mae Haad taking 10–20 minutes; visitors go for the sandbar and shallow-water snorkelling. Koh Nang Yuan Beach is 1.3 km away, and Mango Bay is 2.2 km away. The west and south coasts are usually the calmer side from November to March, while whale sharks are more often seen around Koh Tao from March to May and September to October.
